“I asked around town who was the best boat mechanic in town sports marine came up a few times. He worked on my 18 year old motor, which I bought new, and when he was done I cannot remember it ever running better. I have had some mechanical problems through the years and he shows me what is wrong. He then gives me the proper recommended solutions to the problem. On more then one occaision he has suggested a cheaper fix, that he does not recommend, but that will work atleast temporarily. I always had him just fix it right. Just recently I repowered the boat and I chose to buy it from him as he has earned my business. His motor recomendation was spot on and I am very pleased. Also I would like to add that one time he was working on the carbs of my motors and he found that the throttle cable was completely rusted through. He called and I had him replace it, but had he not noticed? As far as prices go, having boats worked on is expensive. His prices are fair, but the work he has done has been very clean and in my experience good enough to charge a premium price for. For me excellent work at fair work prices constitute a value.”
